Wednesday 25th - Monday 07th May : Tulip Festival, Pashley Manor Gardens
Visit Pashley Manor gardens to see their spectacular tulip festival. 90 different varieties and over 20,000 blooms are on display in a quintessential English garden.

Friday 04th - Monday 6th May : Jack in the Green Festival and Morris Dancing
This festival sees thousands of residents and visitors take to the streets for a spectacular May Day procession through the Old Town, which culminates in a ceremony to release the spirit of summer amongst the ruins of Hastings Castle

Saturday 26th May - Tuesday 05th June : Special Rose Weekend, Pashley Manor Gardens

This is the best time of the year to see the roses in full bloom. Guided walks will be given around the garden with advice on growing and the care of roses.

Sunday 22nd : Pirate Day Throughout Hastings

Following the success of last 2 years, Hastings are aiming to get the Guiness World Record (back again) for the most pirates in one place at the same time, This year the event will be bigger, grander and more spectacular. This is a family event where everyone can dress up and join in the fun and games. Come and be part of a WORLD RECORD!!!

2012 Dates TBC : Hastings Old Town Festival Carnival Week
A wide selection of events to enjoy throughout the week, including the Welly Boot Race, Cycle Race, High Street Party, several ghost walks and various talks, plus numerous other events and carnival on Sunday.

Saturday 27th - Monday 29th : Herstmonceux Medieval Festival

Herstmonceux is a 15th century moated castle. Over 1000 Knights, Bowmen and Men-at-Arms will lay siege to the Castle - England's largest medieval battle with full cannon support.

Saturday 15th - Sunday 16th (TBC) : Hastings Seafood & Wine Festival
This is the 6th year of a very successful and enjoyable event. The weekend will include wine tasting events, cooking demonstrations, a host of stalls from acclaimed local producers, street entertainment and live music.

 

October 2012

 

Saturday 06th - Sunday 14th (TBC) : Hastings Week

A wide selection of events throughout the week. Classic car show on Saturday and Sunday (6th/7th), various talks and museum events, day time and night time walks.

Saturday 13th: Hastings Bonfire Celebrations
The celebrations are started by the Hastings Runners, running with lighted torches up to the East Hill beacon. The lighting of which is a signal for the start of one of the South East's largest torchlit parades of local bonfire socities through the Old Town, culminating in a spectacular firework display from the beach.

 

Saturday 13th - Sunday 14th : 1066 Battle of Hastings Re-enactment


2 days of events in the Abbey and Battlefield to portray the Battle of Hastings and show how people lived in the 11th century.

 

Saturday 27th - Sunday 28th : World Crazy Golf Championship

 

This unique event will be held for the 10th time. The top 18 after 6 rounds compete in the final round. This event has been filmed on several occasions to feature on DVD's or in films.
